On the 12th of September, 1992, Cesar Torres called Mark Heathcliff at 11:27 PM. Torres asked Heathcliff to turn on the security cameras set up from an apparent robbery. This robbery has not been investigated nor reported by the Torres family. At 11:41, Heathcliff arrived at the Torres residence. Heathcliff is seen entering the home with a key hidden on the front porch. Heathcliff made his way to the master bedroom, fully turning on the security cameras. Prior to this, the security cameras were set to a motion detection mode, which used little power and only caught photos, not video. Heathcliff tried and failed to fix the back hallway's camera, requested by Torres. Heathcliff left the Torres residence at 11:56. At 12:01 AM, a figure is seen approaching the house from the forest. The sound of the glass backdoor shattering is heard, with the figure entering the home, seemingly in search of something. It is hypothesised that the figure was looking for Heathcliff. Heathcliff arrived back at home some time later, presumably around 12:10. Heathcliff turned on his video camera at 12:29, knocking heard on the window. Heathcliff pointed the camera at the window, but the window remains empty. At 3:31 AM of the same day, now recording a figure outside the window. The figure sways unnaturally, half of its face in shadow. The figure looks at the window, spotting Heathcliff, and calmly walks towards the front door. It enters the home prompting Heathcliff to place the camera down and check outside the door. He closes the door, knocking being heard shortly after. Until the 14th, Heathcliff is stuck in his parents' bedroom. He escapes to his bedroom at some point on the 14th. On the 15th, at 10:12 PM, Heathcliff turns on the camera a final time. He opens the door to his room, seeing nothing at first. The hallway outside the door darkens unnaturally and the figure presents itself. It stands still, laughing at Heathcliff, prompting him to shoot it. The figure is not phased, pausing its laughing to stare silently. Heathcliff yells out at the figure before ending his own life. The last thing the camcorder captures is the figure closing the door, now taking on the appearance of Heathcliff.
Cesar Torres did not place the call to Mark Heathcliff. The figure mentioned in the police report, who will be referred to as "CT", placed the call from the discarded mobile phone of Torres. The reason for the phone's abandonment was the murder of Mrs. Torres, killed by "CT". Torres came back to the home the next day to pack some of his belongings and flee. Officials at the time placed the blame on Torres, though that was eventually ruled out. Even still, posters for Torres remained. Two Alternates stalked Heathcliff, "CT" and who we call "Stanley". "Stanley" had been stalking Heathcliff for multiple years, at least since he was four years old. The MCPD visited the Heathcliff residence after a concerned neighbour reported hearing a gunshot ring out from the Heathcliff residence. The MCPD dismissed the case after seeing Heathcliff seemingly alive, answering that the gunshot was him testing the gun. This was a lie, perpetrated by "CT", disguised as Mark Heathcliff. When the Heathcliff family returned to the home two days later, they discovered Mark Heathcliff's body and reported it to the police. The MCPD determined he had died prior to the officers speaking to "CT", but did not publically release this information.
Note: The Heathcliff family was on a vacation for Sarah Heathcliff's birthday, leaving Mark Heathcliff to look after the home.
